The caftan is a long and straight surcoat, originally from Arabia, it could be embroidered, with loose sleeves, and generally made in light cotton voile, cambric, poplin, organza, brocade, jacquard, silks and others..


The Kimono dress comes from the Japanese tradition. Its features are the wide sleeves, and a sash fastened around the waist. It is regularly made of silk and enriched by precious embroideries or painted.
