Gioia Danielis è una Fashion Revealer. Nasce a Udine dove vive e lavora, il suo percorso è prima di tutto artistico e inizia negli anni '90 dalla pittura informale e gestuale. I suoi quadri scompaiono velati da tele bianche modificate da innesti di Natura sottoforma di rami.
Gioia Danielis is a Fashion Revealer. She was born in Udine where she's living and working. Her path is first of all artistic and begins in the 90s from informal and gestural painting. Her paintings disappear veiled by white canvases modified by grafts of Nature in the form of branches.
La sua ricerca si rivolge da sempre alla gestualità e al corpo e si mostra attraverso performance. Il corpo è coinvolto in installazioni e video e anche nei ritratti a scanner che successivamente elabora in forma digitale.
Quando incontra l'arte tessile si innamora del feltro, questa materia eclettica e sostenibile e la approfondisce, sperimentandola anche attraverso la tintura naturale, la tecnica shibori e la filatura a mano. Nel 2010 aprirà Fatelié, laboratorio dove la tecnica giapponese del nuno feltro le consentirà di realizzare capi ed accessori distinti da un'accurata ricerca cromatica e caratterizzati da una forte impronta pittorica, in cui la materia è intesa e trattata come colore. Un lavoro di grande pregio artistico che, nella sua fase matura, le porta il desiderio di liberare il feltro dalla consueta dimensione artigianale: il suo nuovo obbiettivo è portare questa sua conoscenza ad essere più fruibile perchè elaborata su un piano industriale, un piano industriale che però tenga conto delle tematiche della sostenibilità come la filiera di ricerca e produzione di moda sostenibile Waste Couture .
Gioia condivide da tempo ormai la visione di Venette Waste. Non ha dubbi sul fatto che lo spreco sia un valore, nasce così una prima collezione di abiti di impronta wabi sabi, ispirati alla bellezza dell’imperfezione: rifiniture grezze ma accurate, tessuti naturali, ricerca e risalto dei particolari, richiami alla Natura e che sarà presto on-line.
Her research has always focused on gestures and body and is shown through performances. The body is involved in installations and videos and also in the scanner portraits that subsequently elaborate in digital form.
When she meets textile art she falls in love with felt, this eclectic and sustainable material and deepens it, experimenting it also through natural dyeing, shibori technique and hand spinning. In 2010 she will open Fatelié, a laboratory where the Japanese technique of nuno feltro will allow her to create garments and accessories distinguished by an accurate chromatic research and characterized by a strong pictorial imprint, in which the material is intended and treated as color. A work of great artistic value that, in its mature phase, brings her the desire to free the felt from the usual craft dimension: her new goal is to bring this knowledge to be more usable because it is elaborated on an industrial level, an industrial plan that however, it takes into account the issues of sustainability such as the sustainable fashion research and production chain Waste Couture.
Gioia has long shared the vision of Venette Waste. There is no doubt that waste is a value, thus creating a first collection of wabi sabi dresses, inspired by the beauty of imperfection: raw but accurate finishes, natural fabrics, research and emphasis on details, references to Nature and it will be online soon.
